Minister welcomes international science community to the opening of World Science Forum

The outputs of science are so crucial to the future of human society, that open access for all, both authors and readers, is not only an issue for the scientific community, but also for society at large.

The Department of Science and Innovation and its partners will host the inaugural Science Diplomacy for Economic Development: Hydrogen Economy workshop from 5 to 7 December at the Two Oceans Aquarium in Cape Town.

President Cyril Ramaphosa will today deliver the keynote address at the opening session of the World Science Forum (WSF) in Cape Town, under the theme: Science for Social Justice.

The Department of Higher Education, Science and Innovation and its partners will host the inaugural Science Diplomacy for Economic Development: Hydrogen Economy workshop from 5 to 7 December at the Two Oceans Aquarium in Cape Town.  

The latest Cityzens 4 Clean Air fun run will take place in Cape Town on 3 December. The Department of Science and Innovation (DSI) is partnering with UrbanBetter to highlight air pollution and the contribution that citizen science can make to mitigating the effects of climate change.
