Dr. Mais Aljunaidy is a scientist and a physician. She obtained her medical degree from Damascus University. She completed her master’s degree at the University of Manchester in England, and then her Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Degree at the University of Alberta in Canada. Dr. Aljunaidy worked as a lecturer and researcher at Bilkent University in Turkey and then at Texas State University at the United States. She is a member of the Future Earth Assembly and the Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD); a program unit of UNESCO.
