Carolyn Ashaba is a journalist by profession with a bachelor's degree in Mass communication and certificates in Media management, digital journalism, using social media to source and spread science journalism among others.

She has worked with Uganda Broadcasting Corporation Television and is still contributing as a freelance. She has extended her expertise to create her own online News media channel called One Africa Media and she is currently also the CEO of Inspire Women Uganda, a platform aimed at creating equal opportunities for women in Uganda.

Through her love for journalism, she has been a link between media and the public on different platforms including, representing Uganda at the Science Forum South Africa( SFSA) 2018 convention, a panelist at the African Women in Media conference 2020 and 2021, panelist at the Media challenge initiative 2021 and many more.

With her experience in the media industry that has a span of 8 years now in the field, she believes in this space and aims at bringing new experiences to journalists and communications personnel.
