I obtained a Ph.D. degree in Medicine from the Medical faculty of the University of Oslo in 2017. I am interested to research in the area of infectious diseases, genome maintenance, and genomics. In my Ph.D., I studied how the pathogenic bacteria Neisseria meningitidis utilize DNA mediated transformation, and recombinational-repair enzymes as a mechanism for adaptation to colonize its host. Currently, I am working as a senior researcher at the Armauer Hansen Research Institute.
