Intern , Institute of Natural Resources
CV
I have my masters in Environmental Science focusing on mapping an alien plant species, Parthenium hysterophorus. I am an intern at the Institute of Natural Resources. My organization uses innovation, science and collaboration to solve environmental problems related to natural resource management. I am extremely passionate in finding solutions to our vast and severe environmental problems, stakeholder engagement and using smart ideas that translate into effective implementation. My interests include sustainability, nature conservation, Geographic Information Systms, education and project management. I previously worked as an intern at the Department of Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs, where I was exposed to environmental legislation, auditing, waste management license reviews and EIAs. I have experience in running environmental projects throughout several provinces within South Africa as a Benguela Current Convention ambassador. These included educational and environmental events, focused on school children; the focus was on awareness of impacts on the ocean.
