He also has specialised experience in fields related to microbiology, food technology, industrial biotechnology, virology, pharmacology, herbal medicine, nutrition as well as plant cultivation & extraction techniques.

Currently, he focuses his energy in a diverse portfolio with a core focus around the R&D pipeline and commercialization of industry disruptive Seed to Shelf technologies.

These include agriculture( Food crops, Medicinal Plants, Bio-Pharmaceuticals, functional nanoparticles, Biostimulants, Renewable Resource Development as well as bioprocessing.

He is also actively involved in the medicinal cannabis sector encompassing all seed to shelf processes as well as novel techniques for optimal cultivation.

To help tie it all together, he finds his inspiration for innovation while roaming Table Mountain and hiking trails with his 3 dogs.
