Dr. Sherif Elnagdy is an Egyptian Associate Professor at the Faculty of Science, Cairo University, Egypt. He did his Ph.D. at the Department of Genetics, University of Cambridge, UK. He had two postdocs, at the University of Cambridge and at the University of Rochester, USA, through the Fulbright Visiting Scholar Program. His main research area of interest is bacteriology and is working on exploring novel biocontrol agents against economic crops by studying the impact of endosymbionts on their host. He attended more than 30 international conferences where he presented his research. He was the first Young Egyptian Scientist to be invited to attend the Nobel Ceremony, in Stockholm, Sweden, 2011. He represented Egypt in many international scientific Fora for scientists and biotechnologists. Currently, He is the Deputy-Director of the Faculty of Science International Relations Office and the Faculty of Science Projects Office. Also, he is the President of the University of Cambridge Egyptian Alumni Forum. He is affiliated to many scientific societies including The European Society for Evolutionary Biology (ESEB), The British Ecological Society (BES), Top 20 World Universities Egyptian Alumni (T20), University of Cambridge Alumni Forum in Egypt, Fulbright Alumni Association, Cambridge University Commonwealth Society, The International Network for Government Science Advice (INGSA), The Genetics Society, and the Biovision.Nxt.
