Over eleven years experience at  advancing the internationalization of Chilean STI has driven him to a knowlegdable position to unfold science diplomacy in the region. He headed the international office at CONICYT - Chile's main funding agency for R&D. He is co-founder and President of DiploCientifica, the Science Diplomacy Observatory and Network for Latin America and the Caribbean. He teaches science diplomacy at the Universidad de Chile and the Diplomatic Academy Andres Bello.
