Dr Hussam Hussein is the Executive Director of Partnerships for Development. He is responsible for national outreach – building partnerships with local stakeholders, governmental agencies, embassies, donors and civil society – and international science relations – building relations and cooperation with international partners. Before joining RSS, Dr Hussein worked in academia and international development on building partnerships for sustainable use of water resources in the Middle East. He has years of experience in the development sector, with a focus on sustainable water use and partnerships for development in the MENA region; and has held positions at the World Bank, UNICEF – WASH, European Parliament, and University of Oxford. Dr Hussam obtained his PhD from the University of East Anglia in International Development.
