Gorkhmaz C. Imanov was born in Baku, Azerbaijan,1941. Gorkhmaz C. Imanov recieved the Ph.D. and Doctorate degrees from the Central Economic Mathematics Institute, Moscow, Russia, in 1967 and 1975, respectively. His major fields of investigation are socio-economic systems modeling and fuzzy economy. His basic scientific achievements include models of planning of the national economy, structure-functional models of the economic systems, economy forecasting models, socio-economic development models (macro-economic analysis), problems of economic uncertainties and fuzzy models, fuzzy models assessment quality of social system, models for assessment of national strategy of sustainable development. He is a professor and corresponding member of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences and the head of Fuzzy Economics Department of the Institute of Control Systems of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences. He is a foreign member of the Spanish Royal Academy on Economic and Finance Sciences.
