I have been the stakeholder engagement project manager at Jive Media Africa for 5 years and has completed her MSc in Geography as well as a short course in Science Communication at the University of Stellenbosch. My background in Geography and Environmental Sciences as well as my specialisation in rural development and gender has positioned me to engage with vulnerable communities and audiences in a targeted and effective manner. During my time at Jive, I have managed a number of high level projects, including a COVID-19 hygiene guide for learners in primary schools, done in partnership with UNICEF. I am currently managing the Science Granting Councils Project for the Human Sciences Research Council (HSRC) around Gender and Inclusivity in Science Councils around Africa. I am passionate about de-gendering conversations around science and creating awareness about the innovative science being done by South African scientists.
