Dr. Nasifu Kerebba, is a Ugandan Academic. Currently Lecturering at Makerere and Kyambogo, Uganda .
Background and Education
Nasifu was born in Muyago Village, Butaleja District, in the Eastern Region of Uganda, 1987, to Late Sheikh Muhammad Biiro and Nulu Negesa Biiro. He attended Manafa Primary School in his Primary Education, Wanale View S.S Mbale, for his O-Level studies, before he was admitted to Grace Secondary School for his A-Level education although Registered at Wanale View S.S. He studied at Makerere University, graduating with First Class degree of Bachelor of Science With Education in 2012 after having been supervised by Professor Henry Ssekaalo, Department of Chemistry, Makerere University. He then joined Makerere University for his Master of Science in Chemistry in 2013 and graduating in 2017, followed by a Doctor of Philosophy in Organic Chemistry from University of Fort Hare in South Africa in 2022.
Research Areas
His major research interest is Organic Chemistry (Natural Products Chemistry- Botanical pesticides/ Medicinal chemistry; Phytochemistry and Analytical Chemistry)/Analytical-Environmental pollution and application/ Inorganic chemistry (coordination chemistry). He has published his research work in reputed peer referenced Journals. Currently in research collaboration with researcher from South Africa from North West and Cape Peninsular Universities
