PROFILE OF PROFESSOR EMMMANUEL HALA KWON-NDUNG

Born 17thDecember 1964, I work in  Department of Plant Science and Biotechnology, Federal University of Lafia. Nigeria. Married with children and attended Ahmadu Bello University Zaria and University of Jos, for BSc, MSc and Ph.D. My area of Specialization: Plant Genetics and Breeding. I have worked in National Root Crops Research Institute, National Cereals Research Institute, Nasarawa State University and currently with Federal University of Lafia. I have attended several technical Courses and workshops within and outside Nigeria. I have been awarded fellowships to attend courses and workshops from, CIP, UNESCO, ABN, WARDA, CORAF, NARP, NABDA, Chinese Academy of Science (CAS), TWAS, UN, Cornell Alliance of Science. I have supervised 11 completed Ph.D and over 80 M.Sc and several B.Sc projects. I have served as External Examiner in Undergraduate Programmes in 8 Nigerian Universities. Also served as External Examiner for Postgraduate M.Sc and Ph.D in 16 Nigerian Universities. External Assessor for Professorial Appointment in many Universities in Nigeria and in University of Parakou in Benin Republic and University of Legon, Ghana. I have been Head of Department, Dean and Chairman, Committee of Deans and Directors, representing Senate in University Governing Council, Member of Board of Trustees of Bingham University and served in many University Ad-Hoc Services and Committees as Chairman and member.
