Hluphi Constance Mafuwane was born in Burksluck  Mpumalanga province South Africa as the first born child .She was raised by her granny and her mom .Her father passed one .She obtain her  PHD in 2020 .She previously work at SANPARKS and join SANBI in 2011 as Contract Manager .She published papers international and locally .Also wrote a book chapter .
