I have spent the better part of career working for an astronomical observatory. My work mainly focuses on making astronomy research accessible to the general public - which comprise people who are interested in astronomy yet have no dormain knowledge and those who have aspirations to join the field.

At AfAS, I am responsible for ensuring that the Astronomical Society clearly communicates with the astronomy community within the continent as well as share the society's work, and opportunities to those have interest.

My research on the astonomical observatories in South Africa investigates community perceptions and how observatories forge relationships using science communication as a commodity of trade.
