Dr Rudzani Mathobo

Dr Rudzani Mathobo is an Agronomist and holds a PhD in Agronomy from the University of Pretoria, Master of Science in Agriculture (Agronomy) from the University of Limpopo and Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from the University of Venda. She is currently a Scientist Production Grade C at the Limpopo Department of Agriculture and Rural Development. Dr Mathobo is a registered professional Natural Scientist with South African Council for Natural Scientific professions (SACNASP) and a member of the South African Society of Crop Production. She is a Research Associate at the University of Limpopo and a member of the Professional Advisory Committee on AGricultural Science at the SACNASP. She has worked as a part time lecturer for Masters modules at the University of Limpopo. She has assessed research proposals for National Research Foundation (Thuthukha) and done technical audit for Research and Technology Fund projects. In the past 12 years Dr Mathobo has published articles in peer reviewed journals and presented more than 13 oral/posters at conferences. She received the award for best poster presented at the Combined congress 2017. She has taken part in some collaborative research projects like South African Limpopo Landscape Network (SALLnet), New seed Initiative for maize in Southern Africa and Increasing the impacts from soil fertility resaerch in Southern Africa. Her current research interest is on improving the efficiency of indigenous crops using agronomic methods.
