CV
I am a career driven scientist with experience of more than 10 years in the Water Resources Management and Protection discipline. I hold a BSc. (Hons) in Microbiology from the University of Pretoria, an MSc. in Life Sciences from the University of KwaZulu Natal and a Diploma in Advanced Management from MANCOSA. I have successfully completed several water resource management short courses, which covered topics that promote the protection and sustainable use of the water resources. I have gained a lot of experience since joining the Department of Water and Sanitation. I first worked under the National Toxicity Monitoring Programme, then the National Microbial Monitoring Programme for period of 2 years. Thereafter, I moved and worked at Water Ecosystems Management, which deals with the determination of Reserves, Classification of significant water Resources and Development of Resource Quality Objectives. My work activities have given me valuable knowledge and experience. I have been part of many projects and have also led projects to successful completion. In addition to this I have also gained considerable experience working on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), target 6.3 which deals with water quality and wastewater, as well as target 6.6 which deals with the extent of water related ecosystems.
