Thandiwe Mchunu is a researcher specialising in converting organic waste into fertiliser. The fertilizer is further used to grow organic  food at 100ha farm, located in KwaZulu-Natal Province, South Africa. The desired outcomes are to cut down organic waste going to landfills and reduce costs for procuring fertilizer to grow 1000 tons of food monthly.
