Portia is a geospatial consultant who is currently deployed by ESRI-South Africa to support the Department of Science and Innovation deploy and establish an enterprise GIS, and to map the national system of innovation. Portia has strong capabilities in GIS, research, and innovation projects in support of municipalities to improve the delivery of basic services. She is currently enrolled for an Honours degree in Geoinformatics. She is also supporting the DSI with spatial solutions in a number of RDI projects.
