Dikabo Mogopodi holds PhD in Analytical Chemistry and currently works as lecturer in Analytical Chemistry at the University of Botswana. She has also worked as a researcher/senior researcher for BITRI, Botswana Geological Institute and National Food Technology Research Center. She is a fellow for the Southern Africa Leadership Programme. She is the Next Einstein Forum Ambassador for the year 2020-2021 which aligns well with her passion of being an advocate for science. She is an Associate of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons since 2016. She serves as a board member for Botswana Academy of Science (BAS) where she leads several activities and research projects. She is the founding secretary general for the Organization of Women in Science for the Developing World; Botswana chapter (OWSD-BW). Through OWSD-BW, she has been at the forefront of organizing seminars for early career scientists and postgraduates’ students with nationally and internationally renowned speakers and scientists. Her research focus is in the area of food security and food safety with focus on indigenous plant species. She has developed interest in IP and has taken up courses with World Intellectual Property Organization.
