Miranda is a young Lecturer at Mangosuthu University of Technology in the department of Biomedical Science who is a passionate scientist and early researcher. Her research interest is in HIV/Immunology and Neglected Tropical Diseases.

1. Speaker at the Department of Science and Innovation 2022 National Science Week live webinar themed "The untold story of women scientists in MZANSI"

2. In 2019 she was awarded a Gagasi FM Shero award for her excellence in Education in the Province of KwaZulu-Natal.

3. She is the Vice Chancellor's Best Emerging Teacher -2018

4. International PhD scholarship with the University College of London 

5. Alumnus of the Women Entrepreneurs (AWE), A SA-US embassy program for you entrepreneurs.

Recently she had three scientific papers accepted for publication in October 2022.

This opportunity will allow me as a young emerging researcher exposure to a global platform that brings networking opportunities and ideas for future work as well as participation in essential conversations about the "science for social justice."
