CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

• Oversee the physical establishment of the main NuMeRI facility at SBAH (Steve Biko Academic Hospital)
• Liaise with SBAH and DID on building drawings, utilities and floor strength for the new construction
• Draft tender specifications for building and equipment, drive the tender processes for the building of the facility and equipment procurement.
• Liaise with the contractor(s) for construction of the new facility for building construction, radiopharmacy, preclinical and clinical           imaging, research and clinical trial facilities and programs.
• Ensure the procurement of clinical, radiopharmacy and cyclotron capex are
• compliant with the PFMA, PPPFMA, National Treasury regulations and compliance with IFRS.
• Establish the NuMeRI quality system and ensure that its compliant to
• cGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice), GLP (Good Laboratory Practice),
• GCP (Good Clinical Practice) as well as safety regulations such as radiation control.
• Control of allocated budget for NuMeRI - SBAH site and NII (Node for Infection Imaging) - Tygerberg Hospital Cape Town
• Draft policies for the NuMeRI legal entity, together with the NuMeRI board.
• Plan, coordinate, direct and supervise building design, construction, research projects, local and international collaborations
• Draft HR policy for the NuMeRI legal entity.
• Screening, hiring and orientating of new employees.
• Establishment of IT infrastructure, Building Management systems and Environmental and Radiation Monitoring systems.
