I completed my B.Sc. degree from University of Kordofan, Faculty of Natural Resources and Environmental Studies, Department of Plant Protection since 2008 and in 2012, I completed my M.Sc. degree in the Department of Entomology, Chaudhary Sarwan Kumar Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishvavidyalaya, Palampur 176062, India, under Indo-Africa Capacity Building Program. In 2014, I was awarded ICAR-International Fellowship Programme to pursue a Ph.D. degree at the one of the top ranked institutes in India named as ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute, Division of Entomology, New Delhi 110012, India. During my Ph.D. tenure, I have been associated with ICAR-All India Coordinated Research Project on Honey Bee and Pollinators Unit, ICAR-IARI, New Delhi-110012 for 4 years.

Currently, I am a postdocoral candidate at the University of Pretoria, Faculty of Natural & Agricultural Sciences, Department of Zoology & Entomology, The Social Insects Research Group (SIRG), Private Bag X20, Hatfield 0028, South Africa and a recipient of a ClimapAfrica Fellowship Programme. My research will be on climate change: impact on honey bee population, pests and diseases and their management strategies. I am looking to understand the effect of the climate change and environmental stress on hygienic behaviour, colony performance, aggressiveness, honey yield and swarming tendency and its consequences on honey bee Apis mellifera L. in different climatic zones in Sudan
