Besa Muthuri is the Senior Manager: Human Capital Management (HCM) at the Agricultural Research Council (ARC).  As the top people person, she recruits the best and the brightest talent while making sure employees flourish in ARC's famous research culture. she has changed the function, culture, and impact of HR best people practices across the ARC to support its business goals and strategies as well as the needs and aspirations of its 2000 employees. She guides the entire employee experience, including onboarding, training, and leadership development, as well as the EVP that makes the ARC a great place to work. Besa brings more than 15 years of experience in senior leadership roles across multiple functions. The lastest papers she authored looked at the 'Impact of Effectiveness on the Glass Cliff' and the 'Interaction between HRM and Marketing'. She is responsible for leading ARC's human resources strategy and people operations for all ARC’s campuses in South Africa. Besa holds an MBA, a Master of Science and a Master of Arts in Industrial Relations from the University of Nottingham and Queens University respectively.  Besa serves on a number of community Boards.
