Pfunzo Tonny Muvhali is a Production Scientist at the Western Cape Department of Agriculture. His interests in animal science include performing research on animal reproduction physiology, animal welfare, behaviour and management. He recently graduated from Stellenbosch University with a PhD in Agriculture. He is a registered scientist with the South African Council for Natural Scientific Professions (SACNASP), a member of the South African Society for Animal Science (SASAS), and the World's Poultry Science Association (WPSA), South African branch. In his fields of interest, he has published 10 peer-reviewed research articles in international journals, and has attended local and international congresses to present his research. He is also a reviewer for several journals of animal science  research.
