I am a PhD Candidate in Chemical Engineering and also a Teaching assistant at the University of Cape Town (UCT). I am passionate about drug discovery and development, entrepreneurship, and commercialisation of biomedical innovations from the lab to the market. I am also passionate about impacting others by transferring my knowledge through mentorship and teaching and uplifting young people from disadvantaged backgrounds. I have co-founded several start-up companies within the education and cosmetics sectors. I am currently developing a pilot innovative anticancer drug manufacturing process at the Centre for Bioprocess Engineering Research in collaboration with the Institute of Infections and Molecular Disease, UCT. I have an educational background in pure and applied chemistry, biochemistry, molecular and cell biology, and bioprocess engineering.
