Fortress Netili is a Senior Scientist with industrial exposure. He has gathered enough experience throughout a journey of 20-year professional career as a Water Scientist, Researcher, Manager, and Geoscience Consultant in the Water Sector.His involvement in the sector include advising Government of South Africa a strategic options available to deal with polluted underground mine water in the in the Gauteng Province, contributing in the development of Regional Strategic Action Plan (IV) of SADC Water Division, assisting International Water Management Institute IWMI-SA with its SADC business and research strategy, assisting governments of South Africa, Botswana, and Namibia in the execution of Stampriet Transboundary Aquifer project. Fortress is a member of International Association of Hydrogeologists (IAH), Executive member and Treasurer of the Groundwater Division (GWD) of Geological Society of South Africa, an Associate Member of the Water Institute of South Africa (WISA), and a Registered Professional Scientist (Pri.Sci.Nat) with South African Council for Professional Natural Scientists (SCNASP). He has keen interest and commitment to continued professional development in decision-making, environmental sustainability and all aspects of integrated environmental planning, policy, management and assessment
