I am at the University of Cape Town and I am located in the Research Office. My role is to build capacity of researchers who engage with external stakeholders on intractable challenges facing the continent and the world. In SA the major issues are poverty and inequality. The conference is so relevant to my area of work and it links very well with UCT's Vision 2030 which has a focus on social justice
