Who am I?My name is Bulisani Ngwenya, a second year Mechatronic Engineering student at the University of Cape Town. My passion for Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics (STEM) has seen my involvement in community projects that aim to foster innovation thus reaching sustainable developmental goals. I seek to find an internship that will help widen my knowledge, furthermore, serve as a perfect marriage with my vehement aspirations.

What are my aspirations?I aspire to see a pan Africa that is not left behind in the 4th industrial revolution & beyond. The United Nations in 2015 developed the widely adopted Sustainable Developmental Goals which I advocate for. These goals aim to stop hunger and poverty by 2030 and to do this, I believe, we need not to change what we are doing but to enhance the way in which we do things. We do this by shifting the focus to a new system that will allow us to meet the basic needs of every human on the planet, that will be fairer and its key goal is to maximize human wellbeing. Remaining innovative, creative and maintaining a progressive nature with the resource constraints that we have will make for a more efficient globe, nation, and communities.

SynopsisIn conclusion I wish to enforce the above discussed (reaching sustainable development) into my community and to help South Africa pioneer in the bringing together of digital, physical and biomedical systems to make intelligent systems post my studies.
