Roseanne is a Lecturer in the Department of Sociology, Social Work and African Women's Studies, University of Nairobi, Kenya. She holds a PhD in Sociology from the University of Connecticut, USA.  Roseanne is a medical sociologist with research interests in the areas of Gender, Sexualities, Health, Development, Governance, Human rights and human security, Peacebuilding, Decolonization, Social/public policy. She is an editorial board member of the ‘Gender and Society Journal of the Sociologists for Women in Society (SWS)’ and Regional Representative for the African Region in the Research Committee (RC 32) of the International Sociological Association (ISA).
