Kennan Kellaris Salinero is executive director and Principal Founder of ReImagine Science, a non-profit based out of Washington DC.  Founded in 2008, ReImagine Science works to catalyze change in how we 'do' science in the United States through experiential learning, holding a holistic view that includes how we train young scientists, how we decide what science should be done, how we listen to, interact with and are part of society, and how we work together as scientists. 

Dr. Salinero has held positions in numerous scientific institutions: as a scientific specialist at Celera Genomics during the sequencing of the human genome,.a faculty member in the Department of Chemistry at Georgetown University, conducting basic research at UCBerkeley, the Joint Genome Institute, and Åbo Akademi in Turku, Finland, as well as early-career research positions at Los Alamos and Livermore National Laboratories.  

Dr. Salinero has done extensive work since 2013 organizing TEDx events focused on innovation, education and the environment.  Her work in basic research over several decades has also informed her work as a member of various economic development associations, leadership training initiatives, and the science of team science.
