I'm currently a fully-funded academic researcher at King's College London, doing an interdisciplinary project in healthcare and communication, mainly focusing on investigating effective communication strategies to improve people's diabetes-related knowledge, attitudes and behaviours.

My expertise in science and technology is rooted in a strong educational background and work experience as well. I had more than ten year's research experience in studying practical and methodological knowledge in social science, and I used to be the executive editor at Science and Technology Daily, the official national newspaper of the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China. These two years of working experience have sharpened my insight into the communications industry in a practical context and made me realise that the media and communications have the potential to change our understanding of the world, as well as our ways of working and living, which reinforced my interest in using media and communication skills to make an influential impact on people’s life.

These experiences motivated me to pursue my PhD in the field of health communication. Till now, I've published 12 journal articles and participated in and delivered presentations at 6 major healthcare and communication-related conferences, such as NCHCMM and IAMCR. Meanwhile, I was appointed as valedictorian for graduation(1/7772 students) with high media exposure.
