Professor Vincent PK Titanji, PhD; CBiol;FIBiol; FCAS; FAAS; FTWAS is Biologist-Biochemist currently serving as Emeritus Professor and Honorary Dean at the University of Buea Biotechnology Unit. He is the Current Vice Chair for Communication at the African Union Research and Innovation Council (AU-ASRIC). Formerly, he served the Vice-President of the African Academy of Sciences (AAS) for Central Africa; President of the Federation of African Societies of Biochemistry and molecular Biology (FASBMB) Rector/Vice Chancellor of the University of Buea (2006-2012);
Vice-Chancellor and CEO of the Cameroon Christian University Institute( 2015-2019) Founding Coordinator/Director of the Biocehnology Center ,University of Yaounde 1 (1986-1997), Coordinator of the Biotechnology University of Buea (1997-2012).
His current research interests include the epidemiology ,vaccine and drug development for transmissible diseases in the tropics including malaria,onchocerciasis, tuberculosis and COVID-19. He is also interested in scientific evidence-based advice to decision makers and higher education curriculum development. Professor Titanji has successfuly mentored 25 PhD graduates , more that 20 postdocs; and more than 60 MSc gradutaes.. He has published more than 130 papers in international peer reviewed journals and has received a number of awards including the IFS/DANIDA award.He is married to Dr Beatrice Lebsia Kahboh nee lima and they have children
