My science communication practice takes place through various public platforms including web portals,researcher-policy maker networks, social media, seminars, workshops, conferences, policy briefs, magazinesand newsletters. My particular focus is on science writing and science communication that providesknowledge to benefit society. I see my role as using future media to enhance science culture in South Africa inorder to ensure a better-informed society, capable of making positive choices in terms of upliftment andsustainability, especially in the face of the climate emergency and escalating poverty. I have been a sciencewriter for more than 20 years.I have a Master’s (MSc) in Science Communication and Future Media from the University of Salford,Manchester and a National Diploma in Journalism from the Tshwane University of Technology.
