Sheila Wetugi works at the African Acadmy of sciences as Grants Officer.  Sheila is a Sociologist by profession with over 10 years of experience in the field of international development where she has mainly worked within the Kenyan Country Context. She has worked for several International NGOs in different capacities, notably program and grants management. This includes Christian Aid, Amref Health Africa, Build Africa – Kenya, PSI – Kenya and ADRA – Kenya.

Sheila has a wide range of experience working for USAID, Funded OVC & HIV Programs, DFID, World Bank, SIDA and EU funded programs from which she has acquired a unique blend of knowledge on the donor requirements and operations.

Sheila is passionate about utilizing her knowledge and skills in promoting the welfare of under – privileged in society; and further building her on capacity through work experience, research, and training.
