Nkosinathi Madondo is a lecturer in Academic Literacy in the Teaching and Learning Development Centre at Mangosuthu University of Technology where he supports students’ academic literacy needs in order to enable them to succeed. He was previously a language specialist in the Science Extended Programme Studies at Rhodes University where his role was to enable learning to know how and why language is used the way it is used in the discipline of science. He has a PhD from Rhodes University and a Master of Education in English Language and Media Studies from UKZN. He has an ongoing interest in community engagement and development. He is an Associate Editor Mentee of the South African Journal of Science.
