Boitumelo Makobe is a Space weather forecaster at the South African National Space Agency (SANSA) in Hermanus. She has a Background in Meteorology  With a BSc Hons In Meteorology obtained at the University of Pretoria  in 2019.  She then furthered her studies and obtained a Post Graduate certificate in weather forecasting with the South African Weather Service (SAWS) in 2020.Thereafter she worked as an operational  weather forecaster at  SAWS before coming to SANSA. She just recently completed her training as a Space Weather Forecaster at SANSA, Hermanus and also at the UK MetOffice Space Weather Operational Centre (MOSWOC). She is responsible for the dissemination of space weather forecasts and monitoring of current space weather conditions.
