Prof. Philippe Kuhutama Mawoko is a citizen of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). He is a Professor of Mathematics at the University of Kwango in DRC. He is serving as a Member of the Advisory Board of the Global Innovation Index and sit on the Advisory Board of the African Science, Technology, and Innovation Indicators (ASTII) Initiative. Dr Mawoko retired from the Advisory Board of the United Nations University Maastricht Economic and Social Research Institute on Innovation and Technology (UNU-MERIT) after serving for two terms (8years). He retired as the founding Director of the African Union Observatory for Science, Technology, and Innovation (AOSTI). He has served in many capacities in academic, industrial, and governmental organisations. He holds a PhD in Mathematics from the University of Salzburg in Austria (1988).
