Harry is an activist who has been involved in the apartheid and grassroots struggles. He is a Harvard fellow and holds a Master’s degree in Geography and Environmental Science from the University of the Western Cape, South Africa. For the last 30 years, he worked on issues of rural development with a special focus on land reform in South Africa and contributed to both the development of land reform policy in South Africa post-1994. Currently his work focuses on land, food and climate justice and the contributions of social movements in advancing food sovereignty in South Africa, SADC and East Africa.
