Ms. Wandile Kelly Mlilo is a project coordinator for Transformative Innovation Policy – South Africa (TIP – SA). She is a PhD candidate for the DPhil (with specialization in Innovation and Development) programme at the University of Johannesburg within the Trilateral Research Chair in Transformative Innovation (TRCTI). Wandile started her research career at the University of Johannesburg providing research assistance to lecturers and further became a lecturer for a Research Methodology module. Her interests lie in political economy issues, climate and emerging technologies, and innovation and sustainable development research. She also has corporate research experience, working as a development economist and researcher within the Innovation and Sustainable Development space, conducting economic and socio-economic impact assessments, evaluations, economic cases, baseline assessments and feasibility studies for mining, energy, coal-fired power stations and bio-science projects.
