Tshepang Mosiea is pursuing a PhD at the Nelson Mandela University in construction and human settlements management. His research interests includes innovation in the public sector, smart cities, service delivery, alternative building methods, next generation sanitation systems, e-Participation  and public policy modelling, green and smart buildings. He is currently employed as a Director in the  Department of Science and Innovation in South Africa.
