Connie Nshemereirwe. PhD, is a Ugandan-based Science & Policy Advisor, and is currently the Director of the Africa Science Leadership Programme (ASLP), which is based at the Future Africa campus of the University of Pretoria. She also acts at the science and policy interface as a science writer, trainer & speaker, and has been featured in The Conversation Africa, The Scientific African, and in Nature World View. She is a past Co-Chair of the Global Young Academy and is the General Secretary of the Uganda National Young Academy. An inaugural fellow of the ASLP, she was appointed as Director of the ASLP in 2021.
