Heidi van Rooyen is the Group Executive of the Impact Centre at the HSRC. For over two decades her work has addressed HIV risks and vulnerabilities and the broader contexts and inequalities that shape these risks. She serves on a high-level sub-committee in the National Advisory Council on Innovation aimed at evaluating the performance of the NSI with regard to transformation. Heidi is also currently leading a team exploring the nature, extent and reach of transformation among various entities reporting to the National Department of Science and Innovation, South Africa, and is the Co-Principal Investigator in the SGCI Gender and Inclusivity Project.
