Prof. Jiansheng HU received his Ph.D. in plasma physics from Institute of Plasma Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (ASIPP) in 2008, and has worked in the institute for 28 years on the plasma and wall interaction, plasma fueling, plasma facing components and vacuum system for HT-7 and EAST superconducting tokamak devices. Prof. HU was named deputy head of Physics Division in 2009, and in 2020 he became Deputy Director of ASIPP, responsible for the tokamak experiment and operation, talent nurturing and international cooperation. Prof. Hu has published more than 180 SCI papers and has been honored with a number of awards for his academic achievement.
